INAUGURAZIONE

INAUGURAZIONE

Martina Simeti announces INAUGURAZIONE, the exhibition that opens the gallery’s new space in Milan.

After five years in Via Benedetto Marcello, the gallery is moving to Via Seneca 4/6, where it will share the address with the Fondazione Archivio Turi Simeti in what was once the artist’s home and studio.

The new space, designed by Davide Stucchi — with whom Martina Simeti has collaborated since the beginning—is divided into two distinct but complementary areas: a street-facing window, visible from the outside, and a larger exhibition room at the rear, set in a more domestic context, designed to encourage a slower view and a closer encounter with the works.

INAUGURAZIONE brings together all twelve artists represented by the gallery — Alek O., Sylvie Auvray, Costanza Candeloro, Paolo Chiasera, Mimosa Echard, Jasmine Gregory, Soshiro Matsubara, RM, Chloé Quenum, Curtis Talwst Santiago, Bernhard Schobinger, and Davide Stucchi, together with Turi Simeti, who lived and worked in that space for over thirty years with his partner and artist Essila Burello Paraiso.

On the occasion of the opening, Martina Simeti also announces the launch of a new annual project, developed in collaboration with the Archivio Turi Simeti and conceived in view of Simeti’s centenary, which will take place in 2029. The project will debut in April with its first edition and will take shape through a dialogue with Matilde Cassani.
