Panorama L’Aquila

Panorama L’Aquila
Alek O.
8.9.23 – 10.9.23

Alek O. participates at Panorama L’Aquila, the widespread travelling exhibition that since 2021 relates art, architecture, antiquity and the contemporary with the territory and its communities, and for the second year has obtained the patronage of UNESCO and the Ministry of Culture.

From 7 to 10 September 2023 Panorama comes back, the cultural project that ITALICS – the first institutional network that brings together seventy of the most authoritative art galleries active in Italy – annually dedicates to some of the most extraordinary locations in Italy.

After the editions of Procida (2021) and Monopoli (2022), both curated by Vincenzo De Bellis, ITALICS has chosen L’Aquila for the third edition of Panorama and invited Cristiana Perrella – curator and art critic – to conceive a diffuse exhibition for the capital of Abruzzo.

Alek O. lives and works in Milan, where she graduated in Design from Politecnico. The artist’s works have been exhibited widely at institutional level, notably at the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, Rome (2021); The Courtauld Institute of Art, Sommerset House (2020); Nomas Foundation, Rome (2018); Fondazione Zegna, Trivero (2017); 16th Quadriennale d’Arte, Rome, Palazzo delle Esposizioni (2016); Triennale di Milano, Milan (2015).
