Serrata is a sculpture lamp. Leaves made of brass and fruits out of glass. The fragility of nature and its roughness.

Francesco Simeti (1968, Palermo, Italy) is a visual artist based in New York whose distinctive trademark is a personal challenge to decoration. With his landscape patterns Simeti’s research is concerned with undermining the ornamental as a source of esthetic pleasure by introducing crucial issues of society. Involved in a number of public art projects mainly in the United States – for example, a New York City subway station in Brooklyn – his wallpapers and sculptures form part of important museum collections, including the Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt, the National Museum of Design (New York), the Victorian & Albert (London) and the Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia. He is represented by Francesca Minini, Milan.
