Mimosa Echard (b. 1986) graduated from the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 2010. In 2015, she was nominated for the Meurice Prize, and in 2014 she was invited for a residency at Lafayette Anticipations - Fondation d’entreprise Galeries Lafayette. In 2019 she was resident at Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, Japan.

Echard's artistic practice explores biological and artificial processes. "She [...] appropriates dead and living matter, playing on both an illusion of living and the skilful dosage of poisons and their antidotes" (Mousse, November 2017).

Recently, in 2019, she exhibited together with Michel Blazy at the Dortmunder Kunstverein in Germany. Her works are part of various important public and private collections, including the Centre national d'art contemporain, the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Domaine de Chamarande, FRAC Corse, Fondation d’entreprise Galeries Lafayette and Sadami Art Foundation. She is currently living in Paris.
