Grazia Varisco (b. 1937) is a visual artist and designer. Deeply involved in the Op Art Movement of the 1960s she also was part of the Gruppo T together with Gianni Colombo and others. Between 1961 and 1967 she worked as a graphic designer for the multinational retailer La Rinascente, for the architectural magazine Abitare, for the Kartelldesign company and for the Milan City Council. From 1981 until 2007 she was Professor of the Theory of Perception at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. Her work has been exhibited in numerous important exhibitions including the Venice Biennial (1964 and 1986), the Rome Quadrennial (1973), the Toyama Triennial (1990), 'Beyond Geometry' at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, at the Pérez Art Museum in Miami (2004) and the exhibition titled 'Op Art' held at the Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt (2007).
