Betony Vernon (b. 1968) is a designer and performer. During the past 25 years she has designed erotic jewelry. Her Sado-Chic collection, inspired by the human body, eroticism and sexual well-being, is made of precious metals and marble. In the 1990s Vernon worked as the Design Director for the Fornasetti interior design company in Italy, also collaborating in creating pieces for various fashion designers. Her work has been exhibited in numerous museums including the Milan Triennial, MUDAC, Lausanne and the Victoria & Albert in London. In 2017 Vernon for the first time 'unveiled' her Boudoir Box - 1999-2000, comprising leather case and silver objects - as part of the ‘MEDUSA’ exhibition at the Musée d'art Moderne de la Ville de Paris.
